Password Manager for Flash Drives has all the features of the desktop version of Password Manager, but runs completely from your flash drive. You can run this portable version from any computer and keep your passwords with you at all times, whether you are at home or at work. So if you use more than one computer, this is the software you need. Store all your passwords in one place with Password Manager. No more remembering multiple passwords. You only need to remember one master password and then you have access to all your others. With one simple click of a button, you retrieve your password - no typing required. You can store hundreds of passwords and other information you need including user names, website URLs, and notes. To help you create strong passwords, Password Manger includes a customizable password generator. You can change your passwords frequently with little effort. Password Manger keeps your passwords secure by encrypting the passwords.

Lost Master Password


Instructions


First, you must create a master password from 1 to 8 characters long. You need to store your master password in a safe place because it cannot be recovered. Next, add your first site. To do this, select the button, Add New Site or select Add New Site from the menu under File. Then enter a title, a user name (optional), password, website address (optional), and notes (optional).

To select sites in Password Manager for Flash Drives, click on the drop-down list by selecting the down arrow to the right of the Site Title field or on the field itself.

SITE TITLE
Enter the tile that will be used to identify the site. Titles will be sorted alphabetically.

USER NAME
Enter the user name that goes with the site. Press the Copy button to copy the user name and then you can paste the user name into the user name field on the site.

PASSWORD
Enter a password or generate one. Press the Copy button to copy the password and then you can paste the password into the password field on the site. By default, the password will show as asterisks. If you want to see the password, select View, Show Password.

GENERATE
Set the values to control the output of your generated password and then select Generate Password.

WEBSITE ADDRESS
Enter the website address where this site is located.

NOTES
Enter any additional information regarding this site here. This can include pin numbers, password hints, etc.

ADD NEW SITE
Enter the title, user name (optional), password, website address (optional), and notes (optional).

DELETE SITE
Select this option to delete a site.

EDIT SITE
To edit any of the information associated with a site, select this option.

VIEW
By default, the password will show as asterisks. To show the password, select Show Password. To display the password as asterisks, select Hide Password.

CHANGE MASTER PASSWORD
To change your master password, select this option.

Data Backup


To backup your data files, go to the PWMdata folder on your flash drive. Copy the PWMdata folder to another location (your computer or a different flash drive).

Lost Master Password


If you have forgotten your master password, there is no way to recover it. You must make a new set of passwords with a new master password. To do this, you need to delete your exisiting data. To do this, select the Help button located on the dialog box where you enter your master password.
